    LP402L Laser Electronic Theodolite
    Product Introduction
LP402L Laser Electronic Theodolite is a high-precision surveying instrument that combines a digital electronic theodolite with an integrated coaxial laser projection system. Based on the DT400 series electronic theodolite platform, the LP402L adds a visible laser emission function through the telescope, enabling accurate laser alignment, positioning, vertical projection, and leveling operations.
The laser beam is coaxial and confocal with the telescope collimation axis, allowing operators to observe and control the laser direction directly through the telescope. With optional bending eyepiece configuration, the instrument can project a vertical laser beam toward the zenith and perform vertical angle measurement, making it suitable as a laser plummet instrument.
When the telescope is accurately adjusted to the horizontal position, LP402L can also be used as a laser level and laser plane alignment instrument. Without activating the laser function, it works as a conventional electronic theodolite for precision angle measurement.

    Key Features
    • Integrated Coaxial Laser Design
The laser emission system is integrated with the telescope, providing a compact structure, improved alignment accuracy, and a professional appearance.
    • Visible Laser Spot Observation Through Telescope
The laser point can be directly observed through the eyepiece. Operators can simultaneously view the target and laser spot inside the telescope field of view for precise positioning.
    • High Precision Absolute Encoding Angle Measurement
Equipped with an absolute encoder system for stable and accurate horizontal and vertical angle measurement.
    • Dual Laser Functions
Supports both laser pointing and laser plummet functions to meet different engineering surveying requirements.
    • High Resolution Dual-Sided LCD Display
Two-sided display design allows convenient operation from different working positions.
    • Standard Communication Interface
Built-in RS-232C communication interface enables connection with external data collectors and field controllers.
    • Long Working Time Power System
Supports rechargeable battery and dry battery operation for extended outdoor surveying.
    • Wide Operating Temperature Range
Designed for demanding field environments with reliable performance from -20℃ to +50℃.

    Working Principle
LP402L Laser Electronic Theodolite combines electronic angle measurement technology with laser projection technology.
The instrument uses an absolute encoder system to measure horizontal and vertical angles digitally. A semiconductor laser module generates a visible 635nm laser beam, which is transmitted through the telescope optical system.
Because the laser axis is designed to be coaxial with the telescope optical axis, the emitted laser direction remains consistent with the telescope aiming direction. This allows surveyors to accurately perform:
    • Point alignment
    • Construction positioning
    • Vertical transfer
    • Elevation reference marking
    • Laser leveling operations
The automatic compensator system detects instrument tilt and automatically corrects vertical angle measurement errors within the compensation range.
