    CD-800SE Total Organic Carbon Analyzer
    Product Introduction
    The CD-800SE Total Organic Carbon Analyzer is a high-performance TOC analyzer based on high-temperature catalytic oxidation and non-dispersive infrared (NDIR) detection. It is designed for accurate determination of total carbon (TC), inorganic carbon (IC), total organic carbon (TOC), and non-purgeable organic carbon (NPOC) in water samples.
    With a TOC measurement range of 0.050–35000 mg/L, the CD-800SE provides high sensitivity, accuracy, and long-term stability for a wide variety of water analysis applications. Its high-temperature furnace can reach 1100°C, while advanced NDIR components, electronic condensation and dehydration, real-time monitoring, and intelligent safety protection improve measurement reliability.
    The instrument is suitable for pharmaceutical cleaning validation, drinking water, surface water, wastewater, industrial water, chemical process water, laboratory research, and other water quality applications.

    Working Principle
    The CD-800SE determines TOC using the high-temperature catalytic oxidation-NDIR method.
    1. Total Carbon (TC) Measurement
    The water sample is introduced into the high-temperature combustion furnace. Under high-temperature conditions, the organic and inorganic carbon compounds are oxidized and converted into carbon dioxide (CO₂) and water.
    The generated water vapor is removed through the condensation system. The remaining CO₂ enters the non-dispersive infrared detector (NDIR), where its concentration is measured.
    2. Inorganic Carbon (IC) Measurement
    An acid reagent, using a phosphoric acid solution, is added to the sample to convert inorganic carbon compounds into CO₂ and water. After condensation and removal of water vapor, the generated CO₂ is measured by the NDIR detector to determine the total inorganic carbon (TIC/IC) concentration.
    3. TOC Calculation
    The instrument calculates total organic carbon according to:
    TOC = TC − TIC
    For NPOC analysis, appropriate sample pretreatment and measurement procedures can be applied according to the analytical method.
