    The BWR-04J(TH) Transformer Winding Temperature Indicator is a specialized temperature monitoring instrument designed for power transformers.     Working Principle
    The temperature bulb is installed in the top oil pocket of the transformer tank and continuously measures the top-layer oil temperature.
    When the transformer operates without load, the instrument indicates the actual oil temperature. As transformer load increases, a current proportional to the load is obtained from the transformer current transformer (CT). After adjustment by the integrated transmitter, this current flows through an internal heating element located inside the bellows assembly.
    The generated heat simulates the temperature rise of the transformer winding above the oil temperature. The displacement of the elastic sensing element therefore reflects both:

        • Transformer top-oil temperature
        • Winding temperature rise caused by load current
    As a result, the displayed value represents the sum of the oil temperature and winding-to-oil temperature rise, providing an accurate indication of the transformer's hottest winding point temperature.
