VOSHIN-400R Sterile Homogenizer for Microbiological Sample Preparation

    Product Overview
The VOSHIN-400R Sterile Homogenizer is a paddle-type laboratory homogenizer designed for extracting and preparing microorganisms from solid samples. The sample and diluent are placed directly into a sterile disposable filter bag, which is then processed inside the homogenizer without direct contact between the sample and the instrument.
Adjustable homogenization time, speed, and paddle spacing allow the VOSHIN-400R to accommodate different sample types and processing requirements. The enclosed disposable-bag design helps minimize cross-contamination and eliminates the need to clean sample-contact vessels when there is no bag leakage.
The homogenizer is suitable for food microbiology testing, pharmaceutical microbiological analysis, animal tissue, biological samples, cosmetics, meat, fish, vegetables, fruits, biscuits, and other solid or semi-solid samples.

    Key Features
    • Large LCD display for convenient monitoring and operation.
    • Stores up to 10 user-defined homogenization programs.
    • Adjustable homogenization time from 0 to 99.99 minutes or continuous operation.
    • Adjustable or fixed homogenization speed from 3 to 12 compressions per second.
    • Adjustable paddle spacing from 0 to 50 mm for different sample characteristics.
    • Sterile disposable bags keep the sample isolated from the instrument, reducing cross-contamination risk.
    • Fully opening door, transparent viewing window, and easy-clean chamber simplify operation and maintenance.

    Working Principle
The sample and an appropriate diluent are placed into a sterile disposable homogenization bag. The sealed or securely closed bag is positioned in the homogenization chamber, where two paddles repeatedly compress the bag from opposite sides.
The mechanical action breaks up and homogenizes the sample while releasing microorganisms from the interior and surface of the solid material into the diluent. Because the sample remains inside the disposable sterile bag throughout processing, it does not directly contact the homogenizer chamber or paddles.
The resulting homogenized suspension can then be removed from the bag for microbiological sampling and analysis, helping reduce sample loss, contamination, and changes caused by conventional vessel-based preparation.

    Comparison
Feature VOSHIN-400R Sterile Homogenizer Conventional Vessel Homogenizer
Sample Container Sterile disposable bag Reusable vessel/container
Sample-Instrument Contact No direct contact under normal operation Sample contacts vessel or processing components
Cross-Contamination Risk Low with intact sterile bags Requires thorough cleaning between samples
Cleaning Requirement Minimal when bags remain intact Vessel and contact parts require cleaning
Sample Volume 3–400 mL Depends on vessel
Homogenization Speed 3–12 compressions/s Depends on equipment
Paddle Spacing 0–50 mm adjustable Usually fixed or mechanically different
Program Storage 10 programs Depends on model
Sample Observation Transparent viewing window Depends on vessel design
Typical Use Microbiological sample preparation General mechanical homogenization
The VOSHIN-400R is particularly suitable for microbiological sample preparation where minimizing cross-contamination and simplifying post-test cleaning are important. Conventional homogenizers may be more appropriate for applications requiring direct mechanical processing outside disposable sterile bags.

    FAQ
Q1: What is the VOSHIN-400R used for?
It is used to homogenize solid and semi-solid samples for microbiological analysis, especially in food, pharmaceutical, cosmetic, biological, and animal-tissue testing.
Q2: How does the sterile homogenizer prevent cross-contamination?
The sample is processed inside a sterile disposable homogenization bag and does not directly contact the instrument's processing chamber or paddles during normal operation.
Q3: What sample volume can the VOSHIN-400R process?
The effective sample volume is 3–400 mL.
Q4: Can the homogenization speed be adjusted?
Yes. The paddle speed can be adjusted from 3 to 12 compressions per second or set according to the selected operating program.
Q5: Can the paddle spacing be adjusted?
Yes. The paddle spacing can be adjusted from 0 to 50 mm to accommodate different sample characteristics.
Q6: How many programs can be stored?
The instrument can store up to 10 user-defined programs, with freely configurable operating parameters.
Q7: Does the VOSHIN-400R require cleaning after every sample?
When the sterile bag remains intact and there is no sample leakage, direct sample contact with the instrument is avoided, substantially reducing the need for system cleaning between samples.
Q8: What type of sterile bags are used?
The specified sterile homogenization bag size is 30 × 17 cm, with 50 bags supplied as standard according to the provided specifications.
Q9: Can the homogenization process be observed?
Yes. The instrument has a transparent viewing window that allows the sample processing condition to be observed during operation.
