    Working Principle
    Darkfield microscopy works by illuminating the specimen with light that does not directly enter the objective lens. Instead, only light scattered by the specimen reaches the imaging system, causing the specimen to appear bright against a dark background.
    This imaging method significantly improves the visibility of transparent samples that normally produce very little contrast under brightfield illumination. Fine structures such as bacterial flagella, microorganism outlines, and cellular movement become much easier to observe.
