QL-HW2000C High-Frequency Infrared Carbon Sulfur Analyzer

    Product Overview
The QL-HW2000C High-Frequency Infrared Carbon Sulfur Analyzer is designed for rapid and accurate determination of carbon and sulfur in metals, alloys, minerals, cement, coke, catalysts and other materials. Used together with the GP-2000 high-frequency induction combustion furnace, the system combines high-frequency combustion with infrared absorption detection.
The analyzer provides a wide measurement range, high sensitivity, strong interference resistance and reliable analytical performance. Its integrated optical, electronic, mechanical and computer-controlled design supports continuous laboratory operation and routine quality control.

    Key Features
    • High-frequency combustion combined with infrared absorption detection for rapid C/S analysis.
    • Wide measurement ranges: C 0.0001%–25.0000% and S 0.0001%–15.0000%, expandable to 99.999%.
    • High sensitivity of 0.1 ppm for carbon and sulfur analysis.
    • Adjustable analysis time from 20–100 seconds, typically approximately 35 seconds.
    • Dual-CPU modular control system with high-speed 24-bit ADC sampling and USB 2.0 communication.
    • High-frequency furnace with automatic leakage detection, over-current and timeout alarms, and adjustable heating conditions.

    Working Principle
The analyzer uses the high-frequency combustion–infrared absorption method. During analysis, the sample is combusted in the GP-2000 high-frequency induction furnace. Carbon and sulfur in the sample are converted mainly into CO₂ and SO₂.
CO₂ and SO₂ selectively absorb infrared radiation at characteristic wavelengths. The analyzer uses approximately 4.26 μm for CO₂ and 7.4 μm for SO₂. Infrared radiation generated by the source passes through the analysis cell, where it is selectively absorbed by the target gases.
The detector converts the remaining infrared radiation into an electrical signal. After amplification, analog-to-digital conversion, calibration, linearization and integration by the computer system, the measured gas concentration is converted into the corresponding carbon and sulfur content of the sample.
The optical system includes an infrared source, modulation motor, analysis cell, narrow-band filters and pyroelectric detectors. The modulation motor converts the optical signal into a 64 Hz alternating radiation signal, helping improve detection stability and resistance to electrical interference.
