HBM-400A Homogenizer for Laboratory Sample Preparation
    Product Overview
The HBM-400A Homogenizer is a laboratory stomacher-type homogenizer designed to prepare representative samples from solid or semi-solid materials. The sample and diluent are placed in a sterile disposable filter bag, which is then processed directly in the homogenizer without contact between the sample and the instrument.
The unit efficiently releases and mixes microorganisms and other target components from the sample matrix, providing a representative homogenate for subsequent analysis. With adjustable homogenization time and speed, the HBM-400A is suitable for food testing, microbiological analysis, environmental monitoring, agricultural testing, and research laboratories.

    Key Features
    • Quiet operation and simple digital control for convenient laboratory use.
    • Adjustable homogenization time with eight preset settings from 10 seconds to 600 seconds, plus continuous operation.
    • Variable homogenization speed of 6–9 cycles/second, with customization available from 3–12 cycles/second.
    • 30–400 mL effective processing volume for a wide range of laboratory samples.
    • Optional micro-slapper mechanism for processing smaller sample quantities.
    • Sterile disposable filter bags help maintain hygienic sample handling and reduce cross-contamination.
    • Full-opening door, transparent glass window, and waste collection tank make operation, observation, and cleanup easier.
    • Sample remains inside the sterile bag and does not contact the homogenizer, minimizing the need for system cleaning when no leakage occurs.
    • Automatic stop Hall switch helps protect the operator by stopping operation when the door is opened.

    Working Principle
The HBM-400A uses a stomacher-type mechanical homogenization principle. The sample and a suitable diluent are sealed inside a sterile disposable filter bag. After the bag is placed in the chamber, the homogenizer uses reciprocating paddles to repeatedly compress and release the bag.
This mechanical action breaks up and disperses the sample while transferring microorganisms and other analytes into the liquid phase. The resulting homogenate can then be removed from the sterile bag for subsequent microbiological, chemical, or other analytical procedures.
Because the sample does not directly contact the internal mechanism, the risk of cross-contamination and instrument contamination is significantly reduced.
