    YC-500 Laboratory Benchtop Spray Dryer

    Product Introduction
The YC-500 Laboratory Benchtop Spray Dryer is a compact laboratory spray drying system designed to be placed directly on a laboratory bench or installed on the YC-501 nitrogen circulation system. Its compact structure, dual automatic/manual control, color touchscreen interface, and flexible spray nozzle configuration make it suitable for laboratory-scale spray drying research.
The YC-500 basic model is designed for aqueous solutions. When equipped with the YC-501 nitrogen circulation system, it can be upgraded for organic solvent spray drying without replacing the main spray dryer. This modular design allows researchers to expand the system according to changing experimental requirements.

    Performance Features
    •   Compact benchtop design: Can be placed directly on a laboratory bench or on the YC-501 nitrogen circulation system.
    •  Water and organic solvent capability: The basic configuration supports aqueous solutions; adding the YC-501 enables closed-loop nitrogen circulation for organic solvents.
    •   Easy upgrade: The basic model can be upgraded by adding only the YC-501 nitrogen circulation module.
    • Concentric spray nozzle: The nozzle maintains centered atomization, reducing spray deposition on the chamber wall and helping improve product recovery.
    •  Adjustable nozzle position: The spray nozzle can be moved vertically to optimize atomization and drying performance.
    •   Good high-viscosity adaptability: The nozzle design is suitable for relatively high-viscosity materials and helps reduce clogging.
    •   Integrated exhaust dust collector: Reduces powder loss and environmental emissions while improving recovery, particularly for difficult-to-collect materials.
    •  Improved heater design: Designed to reduce heater failure and extend operating reliability.
    •   Dual control modes: Supports both automatic and manual operation.
    • Dynamic touchscreen monitoring: A color LCD touchscreen displays operating parameters dynamically.
    •  Stainless-steel construction: Spray, drying, and collection components are made of high-quality SUS304 stainless steel.
    • Two-fluid atomization: Uses a two-fluid spray atomization structure for laboratory spray drying.
    •  Multiple nozzle sizes: 0.5, 0.7, 0.75, 1.0, 1.5, and 2.0 mm nozzles are available, with customization supported.

    Working Principle
The YC-500 uses two-fluid spray atomization to convert the liquid feed into fine droplets. The feed solution is delivered by a controllable peristaltic pump to the concentric spray nozzle, where compressed air or nitrogen atomizes the liquid into droplets.
The droplets enter the drying chamber and contact the heated air stream. Moisture or solvent rapidly evaporates, producing dry particles that are separated and collected by the integrated collection system. Exhaust gas passes through the dust removal unit to reduce powder loss.
For aqueous solutions, compressed air can be used as the atomizing/drying gas. For organic solvents, the YC-501 nitrogen circulation system can provide a closed nitrogen environment, allowing the YC-500 to operate as an organic-solvent laboratory spray dryer.
