    WN900 Landfill Gas Detector

    Product Introduction
The WN900 Landfill Gas Detector is an intelligent, pump-operated multi-gas analyzer designed for landfill gas monitoring, industrial hygiene, and other gas detection applications. Its flexible sensor configuration supports up to four gas sensors, including an optional nondispersive infrared (NDIR) sensor for carbon dioxide detection.
Depending on the selected configuration, the WN900 can monitor gases such as methane (CH₄), oxygen (O₂), carbon dioxide (CO₂), hydrogen sulfide (H₂S), combustible gases, and other toxic gases. It also measures ambient temperature and humidity.
Equipped with a built-in sampling pump, a large color touchscreen, audible and visual alarms, and internal data storage for up to 256 records, the WN900 supports field inspections and routine gas safety monitoring.

    Performance Features
    •  Flexible multi-gas configuration: Supports up to four gas sensors, including CO₂, depending on the selected configuration.
    •  NDIR carbon dioxide detection: Uses infrared sensing technology for CO₂ measurement.
    •  Built-in sampling pump: Draws gas samples from remote locations through a sampling line.
    • Temperature and humidity monitoring: Measures environmental temperature and relative humidity alongside gas concentrations.
    •  Color touchscreen: Provides a clear display and convenient operation.
    •  Audible and visual alarms: Alerts users when configured alarm conditions are triggered.
    •  Internal data storage: Stores up to 256 records.
    •  USB data transfer: Connects to a computer for data access.
    •  Automatic unit conversion: Displays gas concentration in ppm and mg/m³, with automatic conversion where supported.
    •  Self-check function: Checks the display, battery, sensors, and audible and visual alarm functions at startup or when required.
    •  Long operating time: Approximately 200 hours of continuous operation under the stated conditions.

    Working Principle
The WN900 draws gas from the sampling point into the instrument using its built-in pump. The installed sensors measure the concentrations of the selected gases.
The NDIR sensor measures carbon dioxide by detecting infrared absorption associated with CO₂. Other gases are measured using their corresponding configured sensors. Environmental temperature and humidity are also monitored.
The instrument displays the measurement results on its color touchscreen and can trigger audible and visual alarms according to the configured alarm thresholds. Measurement records can be stored internally and transferred to a computer through the USB interface.

    Frequently Asked Questions
Q1: What gases can the WN900 detect?
Depending on sensor configuration, it can detect methane, oxygen, carbon dioxide, hydrogen sulfide, combustible gases, and other toxic gases. The instrument supports up to four gas sensors.
Q2: How does the WN900 measure carbon dioxide?
It uses a nondispersive infrared (NDIR) sensor to measure CO₂ concentrations from 0 to 20,000 ppm, with a stated resolution of 10 ppm.
Q3: Does the detector have a built-in sampling pump?
Yes. The pump draws gas through a sampling line, allowing sampling from locations away from the instrument. The achievable sampling distance depends on the tubing, flow rate, and system configuration.
Q4: Can the WN900 measure temperature and humidity?
Yes. In addition to gas detection, it monitors environmental temperature and relative humidity.
Q5: How many records can the instrument store?
The WN900 can store up to 256 records internally and supports USB data transfer to a computer.
Q6: What is the battery operating time?
The stated continuous operating time is approximately 200 hours. Actual runtime may vary with sensor configuration, pump operation, alarm activity, and battery condition.
Q7: How long do the sensors last?
The specified service life is approximately seven years for the CO₂ sensor and 30 months for other sensors. Actual service life depends on operating conditions, calibration, maintenance, and exposure to contaminants.
Q8: Does the WN900 measure methane in percent or ppm?
The supplied specification lists methane as 0–100% LEL with a resolution of 1% LEL. This is a measurement relative to the lower explosive limit, not a direct methane volume percentage. Confirm the display format and calibration gas for the selected configuration.
Q9: Is the WN900 suitable for confined-space entry?
It can support atmospheric assessment when configured for the relevant hazards, but it should not be treated as sufficient for entry approval on its own. Verify sensor suitability, calibration, alarm settings, sampling procedures, and applicable safety requirements before use.
