    Introduction:
           The Vim®-1 vacuum cold mounting machine can remove the air contained in the sample. If there is no air, the embedded compound will fill the voids of the sample, eliminating the gap between the sample and the compound. As a result, edge retention is enhanced, and fragile samples are well supported during grinding and polishing.
           The sturdy vacuum pump can provide enough vacuum to quickly remove any air entrained in the porous sample. Using the unique rotating cup holder in the vacuum container, multiple samples can be vacuum impregnated at the same time. The uniquely designed pouring mechanism enables the pre-mixed inlay compound to be placed in the material cup and then poured into the mold at one time. It can be applied to inlay (cold) compounds of various epoxy resins and polyester castables. Since the sample is encapsulated in a vacuum state, the possibility of air ingress is completely eliminated.
           The machine is simple to use: place the sample mold in a vacuum container, after the inlay compound is mixed, put the mixing cup on the cup holder, place the vacuum container on the base, pour the inlay compound into the mold, and pour the inlay compound into the mold. Hold for one minute, then turn to atmospheric pressure, repeat the cycle several times, open the cavity, and allow it to cure normally.
