    Introduction:
    The UM-2 series of thickness gauges offer extremely high measurement performance with high stability and accuracy.
    We introduced the through-coating technology in 2006, and the UM-2D has this special feature that allows direct measurement of substrate thickness without removing the surface coating of the test object. Coatings suitable for this function are: paint layers, plastic coatings, etc. This function is achieved by measuring two consecutive bottom surface echoes of the substrate. This mode also has more advantages: zero-free calibration, high stability, zero drift.
