PWN-830C Portable COD Ammonia Nitrogen Total Nitrogen Water Quality Analyzer
    Product Introduction
The PWN-830C Portable COD Ammonia Nitrogen Total Nitrogen Water Quality Analyzer is a handheld water quality testing instrument designed for rapid field analysis of COD, ammonia nitrogen and total nitrogen. The system consists of a portable measurement unit and a separate digestion unit, providing convenient operation without compromising measurement accuracy.
The PWN-830C uses a cold light source and narrow-band interference optical system for stable photometric measurement. Its high-performance, ultra-low-power 16-bit microcontroller provides long standby operation, while built-in data protection prevents stored measurements from being lost during power failure.
With an IP65-rated ABS housing, rechargeable/portable operation, USB connectivity and automatic PID temperature control, this portable COD analyzer is suitable for environmental monitoring, wastewater treatment, universities and research institutions.

    Performance Features
    •  Three-parameter water quality analysis: Measures COD, ammonia nitrogen and total nitrogen.
    •  Separate digestion and measurement: The digestion unit is separated from the analyzer to help maintain measurement accuracy.
    •  Automatic PID temperature control: Digestion temperature is automatically controlled and timed for convenient operation.
    •  Stable optical system: Cold light source and narrow-band interference optical system provide excellent optical stability.
    • Low-power electronics: High-performance ultra-low-power 16-bit microcontroller provides a standby time of more than 6 months.
    •  Time-saving operation: Portable handheld design simplifies routine water quality testing.
    •  Data protection: Measurement data is retained even after power failure.
    •  Large data storage: Stores up to 50 standard curves and 500 measurement records.
    •  Detailed records: Measurement records include date/time, absorbance and transmittance.
    •  USB connectivity: Connects to a computer for data reading and record management; stored data can also be printed.
    •  IP65 protection: Molded ABS housing provides good resistance to water and dust.
    •  Portable design: Compact measurement and digestion units are convenient for field wastewater testing.

    Working Principle
The PWN-830C uses photometric/colorimetric analysis to determine the concentration of selected water quality parameters.
For COD, ammonia nitrogen and total nitrogen analysis, the sample is first processed using the dedicated digestion unit when required by the test method. The digestion unit uses PID automatic temperature control and timing to provide stable digestion conditions.
After sample preparation, the measurement unit uses a cold light source and narrow-band interference optical system to measure the optical response of the sample. The absorbance or transmittance is compared with the corresponding standard curve, allowing the instrument to calculate the concentration of COD, ammonia nitrogen or total nitrogen.
The separate digestion and measurement design helps prevent heat generated during digestion from affecting the optical measurement system.
