MIC-500S-SO2-A Sulfur Dioxide Gas Detector and Alarm
    Product Introduction
The MIC-500S-SO2-A Sulfur Dioxide (SO2) Gas Detector and Alarm is a fixed industrial SO2 gas detector designed for continuous sulfur dioxide concentration monitoring and leakage alarm in hazardous environments. Equipped with a high-precision imported sensor, the detector provides stable, sensitive, and accurate SO2 measurement.
With Exd II CT6 explosion-proof protection, anti-static and lightning protection, electromagnetic interference resistance, and flexible installation options, the MIC-500S-SO2-A is suitable for chemical plants, industrial facilities, storage areas, wastewater treatment, and other locations where sulfur dioxide leakage may occur.

    Key Features
    • Exd II CT6 explosion-proof construction for hazardous environments.
    • High-precision, long-life imported SO2 sensor.
    • Integrated explosion, lightning, static, EMI and EMC protection.
    • Automatic protection against high-concentration gas shock.
    • Reverse-polarity protection prevents instrument damage.
    • Independent gas chamber provides fast response and long-term stability.
    • Automatic compensation for zero drift, full-scale drift, temperature, and humidity.
    • Full software calibration with simple three-button operation.
    • Optional infrared remote control enables wireless operation within 15 m without opening the enclosure.
    • Standard 3-wire 4–20 mA + relay + RS485 (RTU) outputs.
    • Equipped with a local audible and visual alarm.
    • Optional wireless transmission over 2 km, 5 km, unlimited distance, or network transmission.
•Wall-mounted, pipeline, diffusion, flow-through, and pump-suction configurations available.

    Working Principle
The MIC-500S-SO2-A uses a dedicated SO2 gas sensor to detect sulfur dioxide concentration in the surrounding gas. In diffusion mode, SO2 enters the independent gas chamber naturally and interacts with the sensing element, generating an electrical signal proportional to the gas concentration.
The internal control system processes and compensates the sensor signal for zero/full-scale drift, temperature, and humidity effects. The measured SO2 concentration is transmitted through 4–20 mA, RS485, or relay outputs. When the concentration reaches a preset alarm threshold, the detector activates the corresponding relay and local audible/visual alarm.
For applications requiring remote monitoring, optional wireless transmission can send SO2 concentration and alarm information to a remote monitoring system.
