HH-3558C Computerized Rapid Freezing and Paraffin Dual-Purpose Microtome

    Product Overview
The HH-3558C Computerized Rapid Freezing and Paraffin Dual-Purpose Microtome combines the HHQ-3558 computerized microtome with the HH-III intelligent rapid freezing system. It is designed for both rapid frozen tissue sectioning and conventional paraffin sectioning, providing a practical two-in-one solution for histology and clinical pathology laboratories.
The instrument features intelligent LCD display, temperature setting and monitoring, automatic alarms, automatic defrosting, and constant-temperature control. Its rapid cooling system reaches the required sectioning temperature within approximately 4–7 minutes, while the quick-defrost function facilitates fast tissue replacement and continuous operation.

    Key Features
    • Two-in-one sectioning system: Supports both rapid frozen sections and conventional paraffin sections in one instrument.
    • Intelligent temperature control: LCD display provides intuitive monitoring of set and real-time temperatures with automatic constant-temperature control.
    • Rapid cooling: The freezing system can reach the required sectioning temperature within approximately 4–7 minutes.
    • Automatic defrosting: The freezing stage supports rapid defrosting in approximately 3–5 minutes and automatically resumes cooling afterward.
    • Precise sectioning: Section thickness can be adjusted from 0–60 μm, with fine 1 μm increments from 0–10 μm.
    • User-friendly operation: Quick-change specimen clamps and an intuitive display simplify specimen preparation and sectioning.

    Working Principle
The HH-3558C uses a precision microtome mechanism to move the specimen through a controlled vertical stroke while the cutting system produces sections at a preset thickness.
For frozen sectioning, the integrated HH-III rapid freezing system rapidly cools the specimen and freezing stage to the required temperature. The frozen tissue is then sectioned directly for rapid pathological or histological examination.
For conventional paraffin sectioning, the freezing system is not required and the microtome operates as a standard paraffin sectioning system. This dual-purpose configuration allows laboratories to perform both techniques using one instrument.
