    Introduction:
    Ultrasonic diffraction time difference method is a method that relies on diffraction energy obtained from the "end angles" and "endpoints" of the internal structure (mainly referring to defects) of the specimen to detect defects, used for defect detection, quantification, and localization. TOFD is a detection technology that uses two probes in a transmit receive mode. TOFD detection and recording of signals diffracted from defect ends for defect qualitative and size quantification. TOFD data is displayed in grayscale in B-scan. TOFD can provide large-scale coverage and size measurement independent of wave amplitude. The single line scanning of the entire volume, which is independent of the weld structure, is highly sensitive to various defects, but less sensitive to the direction of defects
